Daily launches ABM WMS: optimization of warehouse processes for the leading chain in Georgia
ABM Cloud team has completed the implementation of ABM WMS warehouse management system in Daily supermarket chain, one of the leading retail chains in Georgia.
Daily, operating since 2014, is a dynamically growing chain with 230 retail outlets and more than 3000 employees. Daily is actively developing business infrastructure in the regions of Georgia and owns modern factories for the production of ready meals and confectionery products.
The total area of the company’s warehouse complex is about 6200 m2, the total number of active assortment including retail outlets ≈ 7000 SKU. The warehouse is used to ship goods for the company’s own supermarket chain. In the future, it is planned to ship orders to external customers, as well as to provide 3PL services.
Due to business growth and increased volume of operations, Daily needed a modern warehouse management solution to improve resource efficiency and optimize logistics. ABM WMS was selected to automate key warehouse operations including receiving, placement, movement, picking, control and inventory.
Key tasks assigned to the system included automating the calculation of storage and picking locations (Fast Picking), capturing and resolving problem situations, and developing an analytics unit to improve warehouse management.
ABM Cloud would like to thank Daily for their trust and cooperation. We are confident that the new warehouse management system will become an effective tool for further growth and success of the company.
