Avalon has implemented ABM WMS warehouse management system
Avalon, an automotive parts and oil retailer, has completed the implementation of ABM WMS from ABM Cloud.
For Avalon, the implementation of ABM WMS was an important step towards developing and improving the efficiency of warehouse operations. Some of the goals of the automation were to create a single tool for resource management, improve the handling of identified discrepancies and optimize the maintenance of nomenclature directories. Also important was the development of location traversal routes and product compaction, which contributed to an overall increase in efficiency and accuracy in warehouse management.
The following goals and objectives were set for the ABM WMS system:
- Development and automation of basic warehouse processes: receipt, placement, movement, picking, packing, shipment and inventory control
- Automatic calculation of storage locations with support of dynamic and static locations
- Resource management: monitor staff activity and analyze productivity
- Accelerate and improve the quality of order picking
- Implementation of analytical block for operational management of warehouse operations
