Why you should choose ABM Movelix for long-haul logistics automation
Predictability even before the vehicle departs
Movelix allows you to understand how a trip will be carried out as early as the planning stage and to identify any issues before the trip begins.
Focus on long-haul logistics
The system is designed for multi-day trips and complex shipments where standard delivery solutions do not work.
Automation and optimization
Movelix replaces manual planning and Excel and allows for centralized management of long-distance transportation.
Less reliance on human factors
Key processes do not depend on the dispatcher’s experience—the system helps plan routes and reduces the risk of errors.
Flexibility to suit your processes
The system adapts to the specifics of the business and can be customized for specific tasks.
Support at every stage
We help you implement and customize the system. After launch, we provide ongoing support and help you improve your logistics.
Backbone logistics program: features and capabilities
-
Route planning
Automatic calculation of optimal routes taking into account such factors as distance, travel time, number of ramps, type of order, speed of operations at loading/unloading points, customer time windows, access restrictions, road conditions and drivers' work schedule
-
Consideration of fleet capacity
Selection of the most suitable vehicle from the existing fleet or fleet of carriers according to availability, characteristics of the cargo and route
-
Optimization and loading
Calculation of optimal vehicle utilization in order to increase the efficiency of transportation resources use
-
Operational adjustment of routes
Changes to the planned route in cases of: vehicle breakdown, driver's refusal from the route, change of start or need to adjust orders on the route
-
Administration
Administration of owned and hired fleet of vehicles. Administration of carriers, drivers and trailers. Create different vehicle profiles to build a route on the map, taking into account the relevant restrictions
-
Management
Automatic profile selection for both cars and car+trailer bundle based on the entered dimensional parameters. Possibility to enter flexible tariffs for transportation by means of formulas with consideration of logical comparisons
Benefits of using ABM Movelix long-haul logistics software
Automatic route planning
The system automatically plans routes, taking into account time, mileage, road restrictions, driver schedules, and vehicle specifications
Real-time tansportation monitoring
You can see where the vehicle is, how the route is being followed, and whether there are any deviations from the plan. This allows you to respond quickly to changes
Less hand-eye coordination
The system reduces the number of phone calls and manual coordination—all participants in the process work with up-to-date information
Transparent transportation analytics
You receive actual data on routes, time, mileage, and deviations, which allows you to assess efficiency and identify problem areas
A convenient mobile app for drivers
Routes are automatically sent to the driver via the app and updated whenever there are any changes. This ensures that the route is followed precisely.
Centralized logistics management
The trunk logistics optimization program allows you to manage vehicles, drivers, and carriers within a single system, ensuring full control over shipments

FAQ
What do you need to use the system?
Movelix is a SaaS solution, so all you need to use it is a browser. There’s no need to download any additional software or install anything on your computer.
How many days in advance can you plan your routes?
Movelix doesn’t limit scheduling to just the next day. In this commuter logistics optimization app, you can create routes for any period in the future. There are also no restrictions on route duration — it all depends on the availability of your fleet.
How flexible is the system in terms of customization to meet the client's needs?
The system supports further development after the MVP is launched. In addition to our own development strategy, we take customer feedback into account. As part of the automation of long-haul transportation, it is possible to add custom modules and specific routing algorithms. The cost of developing additional functionality depends on the complexity of implementation and the number of interested customers.
Is it possible to include routes with multiple loading/unloading points in the planning process?
The Movelix shuttle transportation management system supports three types of orders: delivery, pickup, and pickup&delivery. You can combine them into routes depending on your business needs. The “pickup & delivery” type accounts for the fact that loading must take place at a specific location (not at a warehouse), and the same quantity of goods must be delivered to the customer. This approach is important when optimizing trunk logistics and automating trunk and shuttle transportation, as it allows for intermediate loading and unloading points to be taken into account.
Can the system be used for a leased vehicle fleet?
Movelix automates long-haul logistics equally effectively for both in-house and contracted fleets. In the vehicle settings, you can choose one of three options for the route’s endpoint: a warehouse, a specified location, or the last delivery point. The last option allows you to plan a route where you don’t need to know where the vehicle will go after delivery. Settings for the starting location are also available.
Is it possible to plan international routes while taking into account the driver's work and rest schedule?
The logistics system for long-haul transportation allows you to plan routes both within the country and abroad. There are no restrictions, but if necessary, you can configure the fleet to distinguish between vehicles that can and cannot cross international borders. Our software for automating long-haul logistics includes settings that regulate drivers’ work and rest schedules, including mandatory breaks when the maximum number of hours behind the wheel is exceeded.
What types of transportation does the system support?
The Movelix system is designed for planning road transport and supports light-duty trucks, trucks, and truck-trailer combinations with one or two trailers.
Are traffic restrictions taken into account when planning routes?
During the routing process, our transportation management system uses OSM map data. It takes into account dimensional restrictions (weight, width, height), prohibited maneuvers, and requirements for the transport of hazardous materials.
Can the system handle complex rate plans that include multiple base rates?
During the MVP phase, costs are calculated based on a standard list of rates. However, as part of the software’s further development, a mechanism for calculating transportation costs using custom formulas is planned to be implemented.
Can a route be adjusted if it's already in progress?
You can adjust the route at any stage. Simply unlock the route and make the necessary changes: swap out a vehicle or driver, adjust the departure time, add or remove orders, reorder stops, and so on. After editing, the route must be resent to the driver. This flexible approach makes the system an effective TMS solution for automating shuttle logistics.
Is it possible to track the route and the driver's location?
The system allows you to track route status and analyze deviations from the plan. You can view the driver’s location on a map, which is enabled through GPS tracking. You can integrate with your GPS provider or use our mobile app as a tracker.
