Background

Products did not always appear on shelves on time, which led to the need to optimize inventory management.
The company was experiencing an imbalance. It was investing in slow-moving merchandise on the wrong order. It was regularly losing sales due to out-of-stock items.
There was a need for software to solve the above problems.

Progress of the Project

01
Business process analysis:

The project began with a detailed analysis of business processes related to inventory management. A team of specialists assessed the current state of inventory management, identified key issues and opportunities for improvement. This allowed us to identify weaknesses and form a clear understanding of what changes need to be introduced to achieve optimal results.

02
Creating an implementation plan:

Based on the analysis, an ABM Inventory implementation plan was created. The plan included specific steps, deadlines, responsible persons, and expected results at each stage. This allowed for a systematic approach to project implementation and monitoring of its implementation at all stages.

03
Formation of the inventory management department:

The project implementation began, during which a new inventory management department of 4 people was created. This department was responsible for the entire order flow in the system, except for the fresh category. The task of the department was to ensure continuous supply of goods, control over the balances and timely replenishment of stocks.

04
Data transfer:

An important step was collecting and transferring data from the network's accounting system to the new system. This included integrating existing data, checking it, and configuring it to work correctly in ABM Inventory. The collected data served as the basis for demand analysis and inventory planning.

05
User training:

At the final stage of implementation, training of system users was conducted. Lotok employees received the necessary knowledge and skills to work with the new software. This included training sessions, trainings and support during the first weeks of using the system, which ensured rapid adaptation to the new working conditions.

Implementation results for "Lotok":

10 %
improving inventory turnover throughout the chain, now it is no more than 21 days.
95 %
increased product availability, which reduced the problem of lost sales.
6 %
reduction of excess.

  • Reducing excess inventory.
  • Release of financial assets inefficiently tied up in excess inventories.
  • Reduce time spent on order creation and inventory management.
  • Reduce manual work when replenishing stock.
  • Transition of inventory management to a centralized level.
