Background
All network orders were generated semi-automatically using the 1C commodity accounting system and Excel.
The accounting system lacked an assortment matrix.
The assortment to order was determined ad hoc for each order based on manual supplier balances.
This approach to order generation was time-consuming and generated inevitable human error.
Project goals
Progress of the project
All major product categories were connected to the ABM Inventory inventory management system. About 9 thousand items of goods are under the system's control;
Buffers (target stock level at each storage point) for each SKU were calculated;
The system automatically generates and dispatches orders to the central warehouse on a daily basis, then cross-docking orders are generated on the same day depending on the order schedule agreed with suppliers;
In addition to generating orders, the system reviews buffer sizes on a daily basis for items under its management and makes recommendations for buffer changes as needed;
The system also keeps track of orders that are delayed as these orders affect the quantity in transit for subsequent orders;
Implemented the ability to flexibly analyze key indicators in real time
