Project Goals
Why ABM Inventory
In Nazilbe’s pilot store, excess stock in the analyzed assortment decreased every week of the pilot. At the same time, availability of the same products stayed high and stable throughout, within a narrow range.
-
ABM Inventory – creates each new order based on actual stock in the store. So if a delivery arrives incomplete or late, the next order automatically makes up the difference.
-
“Red zone” safety stock – keeps products on the shelf, so the planner doesn’t have to spot the shortage first.
Progress of the project
During the pilot in Nazilbe’s largest store, automatic order generation was tested. Since then, Nazilbe has moved on to scaling, and today the system generates more than 300 automatic orders daily across all stores in the chain.
Real orders to suppliers were generated through the system, and results were evaluated on products from three key suppliers. Pilot orders were launched in August, and within 4 weeks most orders were being generated automatically. In parallel with order automation, Nazilbe introduced a “red zone” safety stock buffer to protect on-shelf availability.
The implementation has already moved to the scaling stage. Today ABM Inventory generates more than 300 orders daily across all Nazilbe stores. Every day at a set time, they are automatically sent to external suppliers and distribution centers for the entire connected assortment.
Business results
Nazilbe’s pilot shows that automatic replenishment makes it possible to reduce excess stock and maintain on-shelf availability, even when supplies are unstable. The approach is already working not in one store, but across the entire Nazilbe chain.
-
Less stock, more sales: sales grew during the pilot despite lower stock levels.
-
Orders go out without manual sending: today ABM Inventory generates more than 300 orders daily across all Nazilbe stores. Every day at a set time, they are automatically sent to external suppliers and distribution centers for the entire connected assortment.
-
Planners’ time freed up: automatic order sending has already freed up several hours of planners’ working time.
